Lutes Cousin Films

Sometime around 2020 Ted Lutes called Brian Lutes and said, “Let’s make movies together.”
Brian, who had already been writing and directing for about a decade, responded with, “OK, let’s do that.” and Lutes Cousins Films was born.

An in-house, independent production company, Lutes Cousins Films specializes in gritty, real life dramas.  Their films have evolved from period based, psychological thrillers to more semi-biographical dramas, addressing significant life issues. Always romantically driven, their stories are spiced with comedy that gives them a unique flavor and personality.

Brian is based in Los Angeles and Ted in Ottawa, Canada. They release a new film every two to three years and to date have six features to their credit.

In 2021 Lutes Cousins Films signs a 4 picture deal with Los Angeles based Octane Multimedia to release their catalogue.

This is an exciting partnership that will take the company to the next level where their films will now be seen worldwide on all the major streaming platforms.

Gabriele is an award winning composer and arranger from Italy. He and Brian began working together on the Percy Harris project about ten years ago and went on to score three films in total. He's scored countless movies and is known and respected worldwide.

Gabriele's scores are so moody and 'present' they become very much a part of the cast and in many ways tell the story themselves.

A retired military veteran currently attending film school and a volunteer at a local television station. One of the producers at the TV station passed on to me that there was a film being done in the area and they were in need of crew. So I contacted Lutes Cousins Films and applied for a position as a camera operator.
